more like a red wine on the nose and palate- very quirky! fruit skin (peach, pear) tannic quality, vegetal (maybe artichoke flavor?) described as roasted fennel. Pale yellow, excellent clarity. Tactile, fine grain sandpaper like, so perhaps an acquired case for some. A clean nose, lemon and lemon peel flavors with depth, great acidity. A deep dive into the variety; not for the faint of heart. After 90 minutes the skin tannins do mellow so you might decant this. — 4 months ago
