Acidity is the first thing that I notice in a Lauer wine. Always screaming pairs well with the peach, apricot and steely minerality. I remember this bottle having a hint of RS. — 8 days ago
I don’t drink a lot of Malbec. Most bottles tend to be non-descriptive red wines for me. Single vineyard, high altitude at Costco pricing= worth trying. This had some body, red and black fruit, Med + tannins. Paired well with flank steak off the grill. — 8 days ago
!00% Nerello Mascalese, Single Contrada from a favorite Sicilian Producer. This isn’t the typical lighter, easy drinking Nerello. This has body, weight and complexity. Darker fruit: black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, smoke, with tannins and acidity. Definitely capable of aging but I have a hard time time not drinking them! — 8 days ago
Generously shared with me by Randall, who worked for Rosenthal at the time. Legendary wine made from a tiny parcel of old vine Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre I believe. Naturally made and aged for years in barrels before bottling. Drinks like an aged CDP and was a special treat. — 8 days ago
Excellent Cru Bourgeois. Still drinking strong. Unfortunately, my last bottle. — 8 days ago
100% Carricante. Shocked to find this at Costco. Underripe yellow apple, lemon zest, lemon curd, defined by the minerality, smoky, salinity and decent acidity. Not as steely as Muscadet and Chablis but pairs well with lighter seafood dishes that pair with those two wine regions. — 8 days ago
This is the Gewurz. Classic Gewurz: Spicy, acidic and so good with smoked turkey. — 8 days ago
This is the red. Bouchon also bottles a white. As natural as wine can get. These Pais vines grow wild in the jungle and are not tended. Very old vines. A light, juicy red at an incredible price. If you enjoy Beaujolais, give it a shot. — 8 days ago
Unique in that Sylvain Pataille only uses his best grapes in this Rose. I was lucky enough to get a couple of bottles. Shared with Matt and Paul. Stunning bottle. Tart red berries, forest floor, a little tannic. Changed in the glass as it got air, revealing more layers and subtle nuances. — 8 days ago

I believe that this is the only wine that Pierre Borel bottles. 100% Cabernet Franc. Black fruited but not showing much herbal components. This is high quality Cabernet Franc that has been properly ripened. Delicious. — 8 days ago
