2020 vintage. Great color. Big-boned and a tad chunky initially but finished very smoothly. 5.15.24. — 3 days ago
NV. Bracing acidity initially, then some wheat/dark breadiness on the sides of the mouth that softened the ride. Interesting and intense. The new btg Brut Rosé Champagne. The Brut Rosé Champagne ride only equal to the ridiculous Sancerre (blanc) ride the last few years. 5.15.24. — 3 days ago
2015 vintage. Last tasted 11.4.21 (9.4). Late night PNP. Slightly less tannins and has picked up a bourbon-styled nose along with a mostly decomposed/integrated manure cameo. Light-medium body. Raspberry and delicate chocolate notes resonate. The cigar/tobacco influences still there but less pronounced. Wine is getting prettier but squarely between homme et femme. Finish is still no stops till Hades. 5.14.24. — 4 days ago
1996 vintage. Decanted and throwing a little sed. Tasted after two hours. Light-medium body. Missing that extra ooomph to vault this elsewhere. Fairly spicy along with lean fruit. Tannins there and, frankly, more than expected but not unwelcome. Def not improving but likely to hold steady for 4-5 more years before sliding down the bell curve. 5.15.24. — 3 days ago
2018 vintage. 100% Tempranillo. Big and slightly rustic. 100% French Oak. It was a closeout and offered to me at the resto price of under $10. Can't take advantage of it for the list as it's too inexpensive but as a daily drinker/porch pounder, hell yes. Tempted to buy 10 cases of it for the staff to enjoy till October. 5.15.24. — 3 days ago
2022 vintage. This is unadulterated, old-school OR pinot. No plushiness. No voluptuousness. Zero hedonism. Lean, clean and mean. Light-medium body with the tannic punch of an older sibling. Dark fruits/stems, woodlands presence and earthiness setting up camp. Haven't tasted a "food wine" more food wine than this in a while. 5.15.24. — 3 days ago
1994 vintage. Decanted and throwing heavy sed. Tasted after 30 minutes. Medium/medium heavy body. Dark fruit and earth components driving the bus. Nose with plenty of leather and dirty durty. Has 5-6 more years at this plateau before dropping down a notch. Plenty of pleasure still to be had here if this is your preferred style/jam. The Napa equivalent of Leoville Las Cases. 5.15.24. — 3 days ago
2022 vintage. Unexpected focus and concentration throughout the experience. Medium body. Retail should run around $25. 5.15.24. — 3 days ago
2020 vintage. Quiet, unassuming and sexy. Checks off plenty of boxes but doesn't make you want to convert all the stocks into gold just yet. Medium body. Drinks coolish with blue and dark fruits. Going places but you won't be around to see it or will be too dense to realize it. Stealthy. Ninja-styled. Assassin. 5.15.24. — 3 days ago
