My first of 6. Smells like a full bodied Pinot Noir. The palate is rich with a lovely fruit sweetness, cherry and plum, and again, a full bodied Pinot Noir with intensity. Ticks all the boxes. Texture and the tannins are silky. Enough acid and tannin to go another 8 to 10 years. 98 points from HH. — 2 months ago
Burgundy color, darker fruits cherry plum. — 4 months ago
Spiced plum, red currant, dark berry flavors, takes a while to open up, but once it does, it expresses beautifully. — a day ago
Never had a Marlborough Pinot before. Was having duck, so Pinot an obvious choice. Loved this. Light, which is what I was after, and slight fruity. — 2 months ago
Dark cherry on the palate. Some Tannins providing dryness offsetting fruitiness common in Pinot Noir. This is a style typical of the Otago region and one that I like. January 2024. — 4 months ago
Very pale and translucent. Predominately vegetal character. Nose is dominated by funky vegetal notes. Palate packs a punch but in an understated way. Strong negroni notes - orange and some strawberry. Serious unique wine that shows how pinot expresses place better than any grape. — 4 months ago
Nice and elegant. Raspberry, strawberry, herbs, some spice, medium+ acidity. Clean. — a month ago
Cherries and red fruit, nicely crafted, exciting NZ PN — a month ago
Yum! Love these Pinot noir wines from Central Otago, New Zealand. It is amazing how they are able to maintain this vibrant acidity under these hot arid conditions during the summer. What this heat does do, however, it provides this burnt earth under note to the fresh red fruit. Grippy finish with fine grained, but very present tannins. From 2016! This wine is very well crafted and disappeared way too fast!! — 4 months ago

For $49, this is great p/q. Less heavy than Neuendorf, and a touch more complex and balanced than Rockburn for the same money. There is the dark fruited spice of central otago but with a more burgundian acid and tannin profile. Savoury and long. — 8 days ago
